As an enterprise with a considerable contribution to the development of HCMC and the HCM Hi-Tech Park, FPT has constantly researched, developed, and invested all resources towards the goal of making the Hi-Tech Park a National Center for high technology, creating economic growth momentum for HCMC and the Southern Economic Zone on all three pillars of Technology - Infrastructure - Education. 11,478 FPT employees are working in HCMC, including about 7,000 technology experts. By the end of September 2022, with steady revenue growth, FPT Corporation contributed more than VND 10,000 billion to the HCMC economic development.

In January 2011, FPT launched the F-Town Software Research and Production Center. More than just an office building with state-of-the-art equipment, F-Town has become the technology center for thousands of Vietnamese developers and international experts. In F-Town, FPT has invested in developing solutions based on the latest technology trends, such as AI, Big Data, IoT, Blockchain, etc., contributing significantly to the transformation of HCMC's economic structure towards the knowledge economy. In addition, f-Town became the first destination for diplomatic delegations, international media agencies, and educational visits to the HCMC Hi-Tech Park.

In 2020, FPT built a Data Center at HCMC Hi-Tech Park with a scale of 8 floors on an area of 10,000m2. The Data Center had 3,600 racks (cabinets containing network devices) designed under the Uptime Tier III standard - the most prestigious standard system in the world for the design, construction, operation, management, and stability of Data Center services. More specifically, the building strictly complied with the international standard management and operation certificates, such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 50001:2011, ISO 27001:2013, and ISO 27017:2015.

It was also the first data center in Vietnam to meet the international standard on green architecture - LEED Certification (without using any batteries), ensuring environmental protection and high reliability for cloud computing systems.

Besides, FPT also pioneered high technology workforce training in the Hi-Tech Park as well as the Southern. Located in the HCMC Hi-Tech Park, FPT Education and Technology Research Center owns modern facilities and a library with a variety of reference materials to meet the needs of thousands of learners and researchers. The Center was designed by the Vietnamese Architect Vo Trong Nghia, consisting of 11 floors on an area of 22,540 m2 with the idea of building blocks with winding shapes like a mountain covered with green trees.
