FPT Proposes Cooperation to Promote Education and Digital Transformation with the Provincial People's Committee of Ha Tinh

On March 14, 2023, the leadership team of FPT Corporation and some member companies met with the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province.

Representing Ha Tinh province was the Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly - Mr. Hoang Trung Dung; the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Tran The Dung; the Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Vo Trong Hai; the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh; the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Tran Bau Ha; the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Ngoc Chau; representatives of local departments and agencies. On the FPT side were Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - CEO of FPT - and representatives of the Corporation's subsidiaries.

The view of the meeting

At the meeting, based on FPT's core strengths as well as local socio-economic characteristics, FPT's representatives delivered a brief about tech trends and orientations, giving suggestions in terms of education and digital transformation to help Ha Tinh gain disruptive achievements. The Corporation's proposals included: establishing the inter-level high school in Ha Tinh; opening a new campus of FPT Polytechnic College locally; sharing the approach, roadmaps, and experience of digital transformation implementation in terms of digital government - digital society - digital education, cashless payment, and digital transformation for SMEs.

Sharing at the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT, emphasized local advantages, including a skilled and young labor force, the digital orientation, and incentive policies that put education, science, and technology at top priorities. Accordingly, FPT asked for support from local authorities to promote cooperation in human resources training and digital transformation, bringing benefits to people and businesses, especially SMEs. The CEO believed FPT's energy and Ha Tinh's aspirations would jointly lead to success.

As Vice President of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa also affirmed he would choose Ha Tinh as one of the first destinations while promoting digital businesses.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Trung Dung expressed praise for FPT's achievements in recent years. Besides the pioneering spirit in human resource and technology development, FPT was also highly appreciated by Ha Tinh province's leaders for its humanity, influence, and inspiration to engage young generations.

In fact, Ha Tinh is a place where education is of the most value. Over time, the province has made specific steps forward, and the transportation system has become more and more convenient. These are favorable conditions to promote investment in the education sector.

On the basis of the local advantages and the corporate core strengths, Ha Tinh suggested that FPT should pay attention to the investment in digital transformation, especially effective tech solutions for student management and improvement, and support in the business management… The Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee also agreed with the proposal to build inter-level schools and colleges and suggested that research could be conducted soon to form an educational complex.

According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai, Ha Tinh was particularly interested in digital transformation as well as education socialization and highly agreed with FPT on its investment orientation.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also suggested that in order to speed up cooperation and investment, FPT needs to set up a core team to coordinate with local agencies, select locations, and collaborate with other parties for investment. Ha Tinh will accompany and best facilitate the research and implementation of FPT's investment activities.

To support localities in all three pillars (Digital Economy, Digital Government, and Digital Society) toward the digital nation model, the  Corporation signed cooperation agreements in digital transformation with 14 localities nationwide in 2022. Up to now, FPT has had collaborative partnerships with 25 provinces and cities to promote end-to-end digital transformation.
