Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister Visited FPT Software Campus and Boosted Investment in Vietnam

Hanoi - On 13 Sep, Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore Heng Swee Keat visited at F-Ville 2, the software office complex modeled after the campus of FPT Software (a subsidiary of FPT Corporation) in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park (Hanoi, Vietnam). The visit aimed to promote partnership and cooperation of private sector enterprises between Vietnam and Singapore.

The Singaporean side included Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Jaya Ratnam, Principal Private Secretary of Prime Minister's Office Wong Kang Jet, officials of Prime Minister's Office, officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of Singapore Business Association and Economic Development Commission of Singapore. On the business side, there was Chairman of FPT Truong Gia Binh, Chairwoman of FPT Software Chu Thi Thanh Ha, and Deputy CEO of FPT Software Nguyen Khai Hoan.

The event was within the framework of the official visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore to Vietnam from 11 to 15 Sep at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Le Minh Khai. Specifically, it strengthened the relationship development and affirmed the strong bilateral partnership between Singapore and Vietnam.

FPT Software currently has 15 technology centers with nearly 2,000 engineers implementing projects with leading enterprises and for-profit organizations in Singapore. The centers provide high-class technology services, thereby improving the technological capabilities of Singaporean businesses and enhancing digital government projects towards the model of the digital nation.

With its strong potential, Singapore is expected to become one of the critical markets of FPT, creating a market tripod with Japan and the US to help FPT Software develop sustainably on a global scale. FPT Software provides world-class technology services to Singaporean enterprises in many fields, such as telecommunications, healthcare, construction, real estate, logistics, aviation, banking, and finance.

The working visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore was on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of FPT. So in the exchange with the Chairman of FPT, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat also expressed his congratulations to the Corporation. The Deputy Prime Minister reconfirmed that natural resources, green energy, and technology would shape the future. People were the key to unlocking the potential of all the above factors.

Following the Singapore Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of FPT Truong Gia Binh shared that FPT possessed the technological capacity, the experience of cooperation and project implementation with private enterprises and government agencies of different nations. The Corporation also owned talents and technology experts with multidisciplinary knowledge. "We have strong enough resources to expand digital transformation cooperation for sustainable development and to make use of green energy resources with the Singapore government. With our development milestones in Singapore over the past 14 years, I must say that your support helped us grow stronger," he said.

Recently, FPT Software signed a strategic cooperation agreement with NCS - a subsidiary of Singtel - in developing a strategic technology center of 3,000 personnel. The strategic technology center would provide infrastructure services such as the cybersecurity environment, on-demand training programs, and operation services according to NCS's Integrated Delivery Methods. At the same time, this Center would also focus on developing highly specialized human resources and improving the capabilities of NCS to meet the increasing demand for digital transformation in the region.

According to reports, with a technology market size of more than 12 billion dollars, Singapore is considered a "billion-dollar pie" for hundreds of leading international businesses. Singapore and Asia-Pacific are among the three major markets of FPT Software, with growth rates of over 20% in ten consecutive quarters. In 2020 and 2021, FPT Software was named by Gartner in the Top 50 out of 800 major technology service providers for Singapore.

With more than 7,000 personnel capacity, the FPT Software campus consists of F-Ville 1 and F-Ville 2 with modern technical infrastructure and high standards of information safety and security. In addition, the company pays special attention to green spaces, ventilation – natural lighting systems, solar energy, and rainwater reusing; all are environmentally friendly and for employees' wellbeing. In 2022, FPT Software started the construction of F-Ville 3 to make room for 7,000 more technologists by 2023.
