FPT recorded revenue and profit before tax up by 23.4% and 20.8%

By the end of 2022, FPT recorded revenue of VND 44,017 billion, profit before tax of VND 7,654 billion, up by 23.4% and 20.8% respectively over the same period last year, completing 104% of revenue target and 100 percent of revenue target. (Earning Per Share) reached VND 4,421/share, increased by 22.2% compared to the previous year, showing the relentless efforts of the leaders and staff of FPT Corporation to achieve the goal of sustainable growth of over 20% with the highest priority is to ensure the interests of shareholders and related parties.

Technology sector accounts for 58% of revenue and 45% profit before tax

Technology sector (including Domestic IT Services and Global IT Services) continues to play a key role, contributing 58% of revenue and 45% of pre-tax profit of FPT Corporation, equivalent to VND 25,521 billion (+23.1%) and 3,421 (+22.2%) billion VND respectively.

Global IT Service revenue reached VND 18,935 billion, up by 30.2%, profit before tax reached VND 2,987 billion, up by 23.3% over the same period in 2021. Notably, revenue grew in all markets, especially in the US (up 50%) and Asia - Pacific (up 36.4%). The Japanese market also witnessed rapid recovery with the revenue growth reaching 16% despite weakening JPY. Digital transformation revenue reached VND 7,349 billion, an increase of 33% over the same period, affirming the ability to provide effective and comprehensive digital transformation services of the company.

Global IT Services recorded newly signed revenue of VND 21,594 billion (1 billion dollar), up by 39% over the same period, creating a solid growth momentum next year. FPT also recorded 31 projects with a scale of over 5 million USD (+63.2% YoY). With these results, FPT was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Information and Communications for having outstanding achievements in production and business activities in the international market in 2022.

Domestic IT services segment achieved revenue and pre-tax profit of VND 6,586 billion (+6.3%) and VND 434 billion (+15.3%), respectively. In which, products of the Made by FPT ecosystem brought in VND 1,150 billion in revenue, up by 54.3% over the same period.

Made by FPT technology ecosystem is developed based on core technology platforms including AI, Blockchain, Cloud, IoT and Lowcode; has wide applicability in many key fields such as e-government, transportation, healthcare, finance and banking, telecommunications, education, manufacturing, etc.

In September 2022, FPT launched the first line of microchips applied in IoT products for the medical field, realizing the dream of manufacturing semiconductor components initiated by Vietnamese intelligence. In the next two years, FPT plans to supply 25 million chip units to the global market.

Telecommunication and Education sector continue to achieve sustainable growth

Telecommunications sector revenue grew by 16.1% over the same period last year, reaching VND 14,730 billion; PBT increased by 17.6%, reaching VND 2,818 billion. In which, telecommunications services revenue increased by 15.5%, reaching VND 13,954 billion. 

The strong demand for education in the IT industry has contributed to boosting FPT's Education revenue by 53% compared to the same period last year, reaching VND 4,712 billion. 2022 will witness the FPT Education education system officially surpass the Mega milestone with a scale of over 100,000 learners across the system.
