Khaothi.Online - an FPT's software product - honored at Vietnam Smart City Awards 2022

Within the agenda of VINASA's Smart City Summit 2022 that took place on December 2, 2022, Khaothi.Online - the student assessment software for high schools of FPT - was recognized as a Smart Education Solution. FPT also demonstrated a diverse ecosystem of products for urban digital transformation and sustainable smart cities at the event. Furthermore, leaders of the Corporation brought forward specific smart city strategies for the Government and businesses.

Khaothi.Online - the student assessment software for high schools of FPT - was recognized as a Smart Education Solution. In particular, it has been the third year in a row that FPT's solutions have been appreciated for their contributions to realizing the smart city model, especially in the field of smart education.

It was no doubt that the recognition reaffirmed FPT's pioneering position in national digital transformation through a holistic approach and an ecosystem of comprehensive and integrated solutions for urban digital transformation and sustainable smart cities.

Khaothi.Online is a product of FPT Information System (FPT IS), delivering quality management in education based on a standardized competency framework that flexibly controls regular and periodic assessments. At the same time, the solution provides real-time data for schools, education departments, and localities for timely adjustment to teaching and learning.

Mr. Duong Dung Trieu - Chairman of FPT IS - said that product development experts had combined new technologies with academic achievements in educational measurement and assessment in this one-and-only platform in Vietnam.

The Made-by-FPT ecosystem supports smart cities

Within the exhibition of Smart City Summit 2022, FPT Corporation also introduced the Made-by-FPT Smart City Ecosystem, which includes various products and solutions such as: FPT.IoT - The Internet-of-Things Platform; FPT Smart Transportation - The solution suite for transportation management; FPT Play - The 4.0 Smart TV Box...

Another product brought into the exhibition was the Transportation Management Solution Suite - FPT Smart Transportation - which utilizes image processing technology with AI algorithms, Machine Learning models, and Deep Learning. The set of solutions can support effective city traffic management through vehicle measurement and classification systems, monitoring and handling systems for road traffic safety violations, information systems, and operating systems for public transport... Having been deployed in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Dinh, etc., FPT Smart Transportation has remarkably improved the traffic situation in such localities.

More instance, FPT Play Box - the Smart TV Box 4.0 designed by FPT Telecom - can be used globally for all TVs and network carriers. FPT Play Box integrates multiple functions with quality extensions, easily connecting mobile devices to TVs.

Besides, FPT Telecom also showed FPT Camera – An information security and safety monitoring system with signal stability, high image quality, Cloud storage, and the ability to have multiple mobile devices linked to one account.

Foxpay is another product that drew much attention from guests. The multi-functional e-Wallet, developed by FPT Telecom, lets users do instant mobile recharges, pay bills, go shopping online, or transfer their money... Each Foxpay account is identified with a unique phone number. In addition, FPT Fast Internet is the key service of FPT Telecom. FPT Fast Internet includes a full range of solutions for all customers, from individuals to businesses.

Based on its technology capabilities and experience, FPT exhibited a comprehensive ecosystem for smart cities at the event. In the coming time, the Corporation will continuously catch up with the latest trends to complete its ecosystem, aiming to promote the Smart City model in Vietnam and contribute to the robust transformation of our nation in the digital age.

FPT experts make recommendations to the Government and businesses on smart city development

In the event's opening session, an FPT representative - Mr. Steven Michael Furst - Senior Consulting Director at FPT IS - shared his thought on the topic: "Smart City Development - Practical recommendations for the Government and Enterprises".

Smart city development has long become a speed race of cities worldwide, he said. However, local leaders have promptly applied high-tech solutions in Vietnam to achieve socio-economic development goals.

In the next stage, the Government should play its leading role in smart city deployment in Vietnam. Mr. Steven Michael Furst affirmed that the Government leaders required clear planning procedures with the desired results. Then, mechanisms, policies, and a cooperative governance structure must be officially established to attract more stakeholders' engagement.

On the other hand, businesses should acknowledge the Government's procurement regulations and processes. They should be well-prepared to collaborate with Government agencies, policymakers, IT regulators, and other governing bodies... to identify suitable mechanisms to attract and empower customers and beneficiaries.

Smart city deployment could only be successful if it were paved by appropriate strategies and overall urban and regional planning. Public and private services must be delivered smartly, efficiently, and seamlessly. Government, private businesses, academia, and society must work together to achieve common goals. Top-down implementation programs should be balanced with the bottom-up needs of committed and capable digital communities.
