The Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee: FPT has successfully fulfilled its aspiration of software exports

Hanoi, February 16, 2024, marking the commencement of the Year of the Dragon, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, and Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, visited FPT's Hola Park located within the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park.

Accompanying Chairman Tran Sy Thanh of the Hanoi People's Committee during the inaugural working visit on the first day of the new year were esteemed officials, including Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Lan, Acting Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade; Mr. Truong Viet Dung, Chief of the Office of the Hanoi People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hong Son, Hanoi's Party Committee member and Director of the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dai, Hanoi's Party Committee Member and Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; representatives from Thach That district; and representatives from the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Management Committee. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT, along with senior executives from the Corporation and its member companies.

During the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT, presented the Corporation's accomplishments in 2023, a challenging year for businesses worldwide. Specifically, in 2023, FPT achieved a revenue of 52,618 billion VND, marking a growth of 19.6% and a profit of 9,203 billion VND, representing a 20.1% increase compared to the previous period. A notable highlight is the attainment of IT service revenue from abroad, exceeding 1 billion USD for the first time. FPT has extended its global footprint to 30 countries, significantly enhancing its technological capabilities in emerging fields such as AI, Semiconductor Chips, and Automotive.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa expressed his aspiration for Hanoi's leaders to facilitate further opportunities for FPT to expand its operational scale. He emphasized the importance of creating green working areas akin to Hola Park within the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park and developing training facilities in Hanoi.

Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, a Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, and Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, paid a visit and held discussions with FPT.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh conveyed high praise for FPT's remarkable achievements over the past 35 years. He acknowledged FPT's realization of its aspiration of software exports and its commitment to showcasing Vietnamese intellect on the global stage, thereby contributing to national prosperity. Additionally, Mr. Thanh commended FPT's significant contribution to the expansion of Vietnam's education sector, emphasizing its role in nurturing the workforce for Vietnam, the wider region, and the world.

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee also acknowledged FPT's contributions to the rapid development of public services across the city's 30 districts and towns, enhancing the quality of services for residents and businesses.
