Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee and FPT Signed the MoU on Digital Transformation until 2026

Hanoi, June 14, 2022, Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee and FPT Corporation signed a cooperation agreement to implement digital transformation in the 2022 - 2026 period. The two sides desired to maximize their strengths, utilize resources to enhance their performance, and contribute to the shared benefits of the Government, people and businesses.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee will facilitate FPT to make full use of scientific and technological advances in Digital Government and Smart City. Moreover, FPT will assist Hung Yen province in digital transformation within 2022-2026.

Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, provincial leaders of Hung Yen, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, FPT's CEO, and other representatives.

In order to realize the goals of the Cooperation Agreement, both sides will jointly implement critical tasks, such as: implementing the provincial Digital Transformation scheme, developing digital human resources, investing in building a high-quality education complex from primary to college, and digital transformation consultancy and implementation for businesses.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee, expected that both sides would quickly concretize the partnership based on their strengths. It should be associated with the specifics of each industry of the province and in line with the national digital transformation trend. Mr. Hung also wished that FPT would give special attention to Hung Yen in developing the digital economy.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT, emphasized that based on 34 years of experience deploying vital national IT infrastructures in numerous industries, FPT was committed to long-term companionship with the province. Specifically, FPT would accompany Hung Yen in consulting and implementing digital transformation strategies to promote comprehensive development on all three pillars: Digital economy, Digital society, and Digital Government. Mr. Khoa also highlighted that, with its technology solutions, FPT would contribute to helping people and businesses access the latest technologies to foster the digital economy. In particular, FPT wished to develop the local education system by launching economically high-quality educational programs.

With the support of the Government and local leaders across the country, FPT promoted high-level discussions with leaders of more than 40 localities in the past year. In addition, it signed digital transformation cooperation agreements with 19 localities and gave digital transformation training sessions for tens of thousands of provincial leaders at all levels. Based on its digital transformation experience, local socio-economic characteristics, and competitive advantages, the Corporation will accompany provinces to develop comprehensively on all three pillars (Digital economy, Digital Government, and Digital society) toward the digital nation model. Furthermore, it will help localities flexibly adapt to the new normal by consulting on socio-economic development planning, digital transformation scheming and training to raise awareness on a large scale.
