FPT Software opens its 10th office in the US, bring in new opportunities for growth

New York, May 15, 2022 - FPT Software (a subsidiary of FPT Corporation) opened a new office in New York City - an economic capital of the world as well as the United States of America, to explore new opportunities for development, increase technology and digital transformation services provided to large enterprises in the Northeast region of America.

Attended the opening are Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat, Vietnamese Ambassador to the United States Nguyen Quoc Dung, Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to the United Nations Dang Hoang Giang, the United States Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Evans Knapper. FPT Software CEO Pham Minh Tuan, and FPT Americas Director Dang Tran Phuong also attended the opening ceremony.

This is FPT Software's tenth office in the United States, and the company's 58th worldwide. The new office is located in 295 Madison Avenue in New York City's Midtown Manhattan, one of century-old office buildings in the area. The area serves as the city's primary central business district, home to prominent American buildings such as the Empire State, Chrysler, and Rockefeller Center. Enterprises such as Citigroup, Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & Young, Nielsen, American Express, Shutterstock... also established their headquarters here.

In the United States, FPT Software provides technological services and facilitates digital transformation for close to 100 companies listed in Fortune Global 500. Meanwhile, the US IT market was reported to have recovered to its pre-pandemic growth rate of 6% per year, maintaining its position as the largest one globally, accounting for a third of the world IT market.

After 14 years since its first appearance in the US, FPT Software currently has 700 employees working across America, with a large customer base in 30 states across the country. Currently, the US is one of two largest markets for FPT Software. In 2021, the company reported a growth of 52% in this market and even a high rate of 60% for revenue growth in the first quarter of 2022 over the same period.

Speaking at the opening, Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his pleasure along with the Vietnamese delegation who attended the ceremony in New York City. This is the second Vietnamese office in New York. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the event, in the context of Vietnam’s rapid recovery after the pandemic, showing the country’s sustainable socio-economic development with a focus on technology innovation, digital transformation and supply chain diversification.

The opening of FPT Software’s new office in New York contributes to the implementation of the national digital transformation program towards a digital economy; marking a new development of FPT Software and Vietnam's IT industry; showing the prowess and ability to compete and meet high-quality human resources requirements, not only in the country but also abroad.

The Prime Minister acknowledged various difficulties the company would face at the beginning, however experienced they were after opening 58 offices worldwide, a new office at the center of New York was still challenging. He encouraged FPT Software teams to work diligently to overcome any challenge with stable and sustainable development. The Prime Minister also encouraged Vietnamese authorities and representative agencies to continue support, helping the Vietnamese companies abroad to mature and grow, contributing to the country’s development and promoting the image of Vietnam’s culture and intelligence in foreign soil.

The Prime Minister believed that FPT would develop faster and stronger, contributing to the development of science - technology, innovation among Vietnam’s business, and continue to expand operations in the market.

FPT Software CEO Pham Minh Tuan shared that it was expected the US will become FPT's largest overseas market in the next 2 years, playing an important role in FPT Software's plan to reach billion dollar revenue by 2023. The company also worked with partners to deploy FPT urban areas in the US, researched to deploy campuses in either Atlanta, Los Angeles or Dallas, building up a long-term human resources solution to meet with FPT’s sustainable growth in the US.

Mr. Dang Tran Phuong, CEO of FPT Americas said: “This is a milestone affirming our rapid and strong growth in the world's largest economy. In the next 3 years, we expect the new office will contribute 20% of FPT Software's total revenue in the US and the number of employees working directly with US clients will reach 5,000 people”.

FPT Software took a significant step forward in its globalization in 2018 when it acquired 90% of Intellinet, one of the fastest growing technology consulting businesses in the US. The deal helped FPT Software strengthen its technological position, allowing the company to provide its customers a broader range of services, including strategic consultation, design, implementation and maintenance, particularly in digital transformation projects.

Desire to increase the progress and quality of services, the company has continued to expand its operations in the last two years, with delivery and service centres in Colombia, Costa Rica, the Philippines, India, providing 24/7 service to English-speaking customers worldwide.

More than 700 businesses use FPT Software's IT services, including 100 Fortune Global 500 firms.
