Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam is one of the 13 co-founders of FPT.

He has always nourished his passion for informatics. This undying enthusiasm has been the basis for his fervor in opening up FPT’s software export operations.

From 1995 to 1999, he was the director of FPT Software Solution Center.

1997 was a milestone year for Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, the executives at FPT Software Center, and then General Director Mr. Truong Gia Binh - It was the year that FPT officially exported its first software.

In January 1999 the FPT Software Company was established and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam became its General Director.

As General Director, he has expanded his vision far into the future, with the aim of making FPT Software the leading service provider of software solutions in the region, marking Vietnam’s name on the world software map.

Under his directorship, FPT Software became one of the fastest growing companies in software outsourcing industry (growing at 100%/ per year), with revenues of 1000 billion VND  in 2010.

In 2002, he was appointed to memeber of Management Board of FPT since it became a Joint Stock Company.

On April 13, 2009 he became new Chief Executive Officer of FPT Corporation.

Mr. Nam graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow Polytechnic University (former Soviet Union), majoring in mathematics, and obtained his doctorate thesis in mathematics in 1988 from the same institution.
